Photos: SeaWorld San Antonio Breaks Ground on New Attraction

Things are getting busy in Texas as construction ramps up on an unannounced attraction at SeaWorld San Antonio. A portion of land by the Smokehouse Grill has been torn up and is in the process of being developed. This will be the third major attraction installed in the area – the Turtle Reef realm was built across the Bayside Stadium in 2019, followed by Texas Stingray in 2020.

Construction crews have already broken ground, and it looks like they are in the process of forming the foundations for the ride. Rumors suggest a possible S&S Screamin’ Swing, analogous to Finnegan’s Flyer at Busch Gardens Williamsburg. However, the park is yet to confirm anything, other than placing teasers around the construction site early last year. While parts have not been spotted yet, the ride will most likely have a blue color scheme.

We’re super excited to see this construction site turn into a new park attraction. Stay tuned for more SeaWorld park updates, and be sure to get social with us on Facebook and follow along with us on Twitter @BehindThrills for the latest updates!
