Great Coasters International (GCI) is a roller coaster design and manufacturing company based in Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA. The company was founded in 1994 by Mike Boodley and Clair Hain Jr. and is known for their wooden coaster designs, which provide a classic and thrilling ride experience.
GCI’s coasters are characterized by their smooth and fluid track designs, which are achieved through a combination of advanced computer modeling and traditional woodworking techniques. The company’s coasters often feature banked turns, airtime hills, and unique elements such as “twister” sections and “double downs.”



GCI has designed and built many famous wooden coasters around the world, including Lightning Racer at Hersheypark, Gold Striker at California’s Great America, and Mystic Timbers at Kings Island.
