EXPLORE THE UNIVERSE DURING NASA EXPLORATION DAY AT BUSCH GARDENS
WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (Aug. 24, 2009) – Train like an astronaut and experience what it’s like to live and work in space when NASA Langley Research Center presents “NASA Exploration Day” at Busch Gardens. At 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 29 former Astronaut Susan Kilrain will discuss her two space shuttle missions and describe her time in space during an exclusive appearance at the Abbey Stone Theatre. Kilrain piloted two space shuttle missions and will show video footage from her flights.
Other NASA-related activities, including games, exhibits and interactive experiences that will take place in the Oktoberfest area of the park from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Guests can see the Universe through the “eyes” of the Hubble Space Telescope, and chat with “Galileo,” the father of modern astronomy.
