Halloween is just now over, but Universal Orlando has already announced plans for the 2010 Holiday Season. The festivities will kick off on December 4th, and will include family favorites such as Grinchmas, and the Macy’s Day Celebration. Plus an all new spin is coming to Universal this Holiday season.
The season wouldn’t be complete without the floats, balloons and performers of the Macy’s Day parade, straight from New York City. Join the streets every evening as the parade winds through the streets of Universal Studios and ends with the Jolly old Elf himself, Santa as he heads a tree lighting ceremony.
For three weeks the Christmas super group, Mannheim Steamroller will perform live on stage. They have sold more than 80 million albums worldwide, and will be bringing their signature sound to the Music Plaza stage on the 4th, 11th and 18th of December. Also nightly, the acapella sounds of the season can be heard at Universal Studios as well.
All new for this year is the Holiday Village where guests can see hand blown glass ornaments, caramel apples, and savor the smell of chestnuts roasting on an open fire.
The Grinch is back at Islands of Adventure for the Holiday Whobilation in Seuss Landing. Guests can once again see a live performance of “How the Grinch stole Christmas” and meet the green one himself.
The fun also continues at each of the three onsite hotels with special performances, and celebrations all throughout the month.
