Over the weekend, Vanish Point made it’s grand debut to the public at Water Country USA, located just down the road from the world’s most beautiful theme park, Busch Gardens Williamsbug. When you drop in to check Vanish Point out, it will literally take your breath away as the floor drops from beneath your feet.
There’s a total of four slides, two of which have drop boxes, pictured above. The concept is similar to that of White WaterWest’s Aqua Loop, except there’s no looping here, just a 75 foot breath-taking drop. Choose as you wish for you can “dare the drop” and let the floor drop from beneath your feet, or if you’re chicken like me, you can take the regular body slide.
It’s only 75 feet down, but it looks pretty fierce and intimidating from way up at the top. Our reporter Vaughan braved the drop and he’s told us it’s crazy and incredible all at the same time. During your visit to Water Country, if you’re looking for a serious thrill, this bad boy is your ticket.
If you’re heading out to Water Country USA this summer, be sure to check out their brand new addition to the park, Vanish Point. While you’re in the area, but sure to check out Mach Tower, a brand new drop tower ride, being installed at Busch Gardens Williamsburg when it officially opens later on this year.
