On September 16, 2014, the Walt Disney World resort filed a permit with the Orlando County comptroller for the Animal Kingdom Lodge. The permit is a notice of commencement for general construction at Kidani Village within the Animal Kingdom Lodge resort.
While the permit does not go into specifics, but the water playground refurbishment is expected to by the end of the year. Currently there is no known time table as there is no known refurbishments coming to Animal Kingdom Lodge. Usually these permits are indicative that a rehab is imminent as these permits are usually filed a few weeks before the start of a project.
