Universal Orlando is about to kick off the biggest party of the year, and you’re invited! Universal Orlando has released their huge Mardi Gras line up, which includes some of the biggest names in today’s music, musical legends and some other amazing bands. However, the party isn’t just at the concerts. One of the big features of Mardi Gras is the huge parade. Now, annual passholders can sign up to be part of the party!
Catching beads at Mardi Gras during the huge parade is an awesome way to spend the evening. Do you want to know something more fun? Tossing beads! Annual Passholders can be among some of the select chosen to take part of the Mardi Gras fun.
First, there are some restrictions:
Float Rider Restrictions:
- Must be at least 18 years (or accompanied by an adult)
- Must be at least 48 inches in height
- No bags or strollers
- Can accommodate standard push wheelchairs only with advance notice
- All participants will be required to complete and sign a Waiver prior to riding the float.
- All minor participants will be required to complete a Minor Waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian prior to riding the float.
Passholders can now sign up on the official website for a chance to ride a float, and toss beads.
If you’ve never done it, it’s one of the coolest things in the world. Guests are taken backstage, given costumes and a ton of beads to toss out. You control the mayhem! Guests on the ground scream and go crazy as you tease and dangle the beads in front of them! It’s the closest thing to being a rock star, without actually being one!
Sign up does not guarantee that you’ll get to ride a float. All spots are on a first come, first serve basis. Guests hoping to sign up through the passholder page must be an annual passholder, or the guest of an annual passholder. Sign up now!
If you don’t have an annual pass, but still want to ride, guests can try the standby line, or present your valid theme park ticket that you purchased with your American Express Card. Each week there are a limited number of guests allowed for both.
