The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando is getting a holiday makeover with a massive new show and more.
First, Hogsmeade will be home to an all new nighttime show in which the iconic Hogwarts Castle comes to life. The show will bring the holidays to the castle in a big way, and will see the castle decorated for the season.
The area will also be decorated for the holidays with festive wreaths, lights and garland. Diagon Alley will also get a makeover, as decorations bring the holidays to London. There will also be a new holiday entertainment throughout the area. Holiday treats will also be served in the various shops and restaurants. Can we hope for a holiday version of Butterbeer?
The holidays don’t stop with Harry Potter, as an all new Holiday Parade will take shape with the balloons of Macy’s, and all new parade floats featuring Minions, Madagascar and of course Santa!
Also new this year, the resort will be kicking off the holidays earlier than ever, beginning on November 18th!
There is no word on whether we can expect to see favorites like The Grinch or Mannheim Steamroller, but Universal says that they aren’t done just yet, with more details to come in the next few months as the holiday season gets closer!
Also, Universal Orlando’s Mike Aiello says they aren’t done with Harry Potter just yet, with more news to come this year.
