Every year, The Holy Land Experience in Orlando offers free admission for at least one day. This year, the only religious based theme park in Florida, is offering it’s second day of free admission this Wednesday, October 25th. The park will open at 10 a.m. and offer free admission, until the park reaches capacity. It’s your chance to see live shows, see the story of the Bible and even meet Jesus.
The park must offer at least one free day of admission every year as part of their non-profit status, thanks in large part to a bill signed in by Jeb Bush as governor. The park gets really busy, and things fill up fast.
The park, unlike the others in Orlando, does not pay taxes, and is owned and operated by Trinity Broadcasting Network. They get tax exempt status because they display biblical and religious images in the park, and must offer these free days due to the state law that has kept them from paying over $2 million dollars in taxes since 2006.
Park admission usually runs about $50 dollars.
