Best New Coasters of 2025! Coaster Enthusiasts’ Most-Anticipated Rides Around the World!

The results are in! The AmusementInsider poll for the Most Anticipated Roller Coasters of 2025 has officially wrapped up, with more than 2,500 passionate thrill-seekers casting their votes. These five rides stood out as the most exciting and highly anticipated coasters set to debut in 2025. With innovations ranging from record-breaking ride hardware to brand-new coaster concepts, these projects are shaping up to deliver some groundbreaking experiences.

5. YoY – Walibi Holland, The Netherlands

Rounding out the top five is YoY at Walibi Holland, a creation from Rocky Mountain Construction (RMC) of Idaho, USA. As the world’s first dueling ‘Raptor’ coaster, YoY will feature two parallel single-rail tracks designed for high-speed racing action. With RMC’s signature blend of aggressive airtime, rapid-fire transitions, and dynamic inversions on the green side, the dueling element will add an entirely new layer of excitement. Riders will feel the rush of passing within inches of another train. Walibi Holland is no stranger to extreme rides, and YoY is shaping up to be one of the park’s best additions yet. The park will now have 3(!) RMC-manufactured tracks in their park.

4. Helios – Fantasiana, Austria

European coaster fans also have Helios at Fantasiana in Austria to look forward to, which secured the fourth spot in our poll. Fantasiana, located in Austria, may not be Europe’s biggest park, but it is a beautiful one. As only the second-ever Stryker Coaster from Mack Rides, Helios will showcase the manufacturer’s evolving capabilities with this relatively new ride type, this one designed to deliver a relentless-yet-compact thrill ride. I’m super happy for the team over at Fantasiana, they really deserve this awesome coaster in their unique and well-loved park.

With that fourth-place finish, Helios is the Most Anticipated Coaster in Europe for 2025 with a 52.2% to 48.8% vote spread between HELIOS and YOY.

3. AlpenFury – Canada’s Wonderland, Vaughan, ON

Taking third place is AlpenFury, an ambitious new launch coaster coming to Canada’s Wonderland. Manufactured by Premier Rides, AlpenFury is one of the larger and faster coasters the company has ever produced. Set against a Wonder Mountain, the ride will feature multiple launches, daring inversions, and high-speed maneuvers.

2. Siren’s Curse – Cedar Point, Sandusky, OH

Cedar Point, known for its collection of world-class coasters, is set to make history once again with Siren’s Curse, the first-ever tilt coaster in the United States. Designed by Vekoma of the Netherlands, this technological marvel will take riders on a massive platform before tilting them into a vertical drop, sending them into a twisted tangle of airtime hills, high-speed turns, and inversions.

“Often spoken of – but never spotted, the sirens of the lake who lured sailors to their underwater demise with their sweet, seductive songs will finally rise to the land above Cedar Point and attempt to entrap you in a sinister two-minute fate of non-stop roller coaster innovation.

Located across from Iron Dragon and near the Cedar Point Marina, Siren’s Curse is set to lure its riders in 2025. Will you answer the siren’s call?”

1. Stardust Racers – Universal Epic Universe, Orlando, FL

Topping the list is Stardust Racers, the headline coaster of the long-awaited Universal Epic Universe, a new theme park opening in May in Orlando, Florida. This innovative dueling coaster, manufactured by Mack Rides, will feature two intertwining tracks where riders race side-by-side through a cosmic-themed coaster featuring onboard audio. What sets Stardust Racers apart is the perfectly synchronized near-miss moments that will create a race through the stars.

Stardust Racers is destined to become one of Orlando’s marquee attractions and a must-ride for coaster enthusiasts around the globe. “Board a comet and rocket to the furthest reaches of the stars, at heights up to 133 feet along 5,000 feet of track. Race along an inverted crisscross, known as the “Celestial Spin” in a dazzling display of blazing colors and ethereal music.”

From revolutionary coaster types to racing layouts, 2025 is shaping up to be an exciting year for thrill rides. Whether you’re drawn to the cosmic speed of Stardust Racers, the cutting-edge tilt of Siren’s Curse, or the world-first dueling-Raptor action of YoY, there’s something for every coaster fan to look forward to.
