With that title, I just really want to hear the LL Cool J song “Going back to Cali”, only with Harry Potter lyrics. I’m not that clever, but you can be with the all new Back to Hogwarts (Hogwarts Hogwarts…I don’t think so) Scavenger Hunt at Universal Orlando this September. Guests visiting the Wizarding World can pick up a special scavenger hunt map, and use Twitter to post your findings.
Here are all the details:
- Pick up a Back to Hogwarts Scavenger Hunt map at these following locations:
- The scavenger hunt takes place on Twitter. Open Twitter via the website or the app to get started.
- Begin your journey in Diagon Alley or Hogsmeade. The scavenger hunt map will inform you the accounts to open, which will prompt a tweet with a question.

- If you have a Park-to-Park ticket and can experience the scavenger hunt across both lands, it’s encouraged to start in Diagon Alley where you can begin anywhere in the land. For Hogsmeade, start at Hogwarts Express: Hogsmeade Station.
- Share your experience each step with #BackToHogwarts and #WizardingWorldOrlando on Twitter, Instagram, and/or Facebook. Be sure to include you and your group in the photos!
That’s pretty simple. If nothing else, the maps look really cool, and you can think of it as an extra souvenir, even if you don’t do the scavenger hunt. But of course, you’ll do the scavenger hunt.
If you’re not into scavenger hunts, you can also check out several big new happenings, designed to get you back to Hogwarts in style.
Beginning this Friday, September 7th is Fan Photo Fridays. You can participate in group photos with other Harry Potter fans, and of course come in your best Wizarding gear.

Of course, fans students are always encouraged to wear their Hogwarts robes and sweaters, but make sure you fit within the costuming guidelines of the park before you do.
There’s also the final days of Nighttime Lights at Hogwarts Castle, which will be going away some time in the next few months to make way for Holiday Lights at Hogwarts Castle just in time for Christmas! You’ll want to catch the show before it disapparates for the year.
