This year’s Mardi Gras lineup is very, well, erratic to say the least. It’s hard to tell which audience they are going for, are they going for the younger crowd with artists like Akon and Flo Rida, or they going for the older crowd? Seems to me that they are going for the best mix they can get, but you have to wonder what kind of crowds will be pulled in for the rest of the event with artists like Beach Boys, Chicago and Sheryl Crow. At any rate, 3 Doors Down will be performing this weekend.

WHAT: This year’s Mardi Gras celebration at Universal Orlando Resort features live performances by some of today’s most popular musicians. On March 27, Mardi Gras guests will enjoy the rockin’ sounds of 3 Doors Down. Since stepping onto the mainstream music scene a little over a decade ago, the band has made a quick ascent to fame, topping the Billboard charts and earning award nominations. Their first album, “The Better Life” was released in 2000 and became the 11th best-selling album of the year. 3 Doors Down has become an international success, selling more than 15 million albums worldwide. Some of their most popular hits include, “Kryptonite,” “When I’m Gone” and “Here Without You.”

Universal Orlando is celebrating 15 years of beads, bands and good times with its Mardi Gras 2010 celebration. Guests will experience the spirit of Bourbon St. in the heart of Universal Studios, with festivities including an elaborate parade, hundreds of costumed characters, tons of souvenir beads, Cajun cuisine and live performances by mega-talented artists.
