Universal Orlando’s Mardi Gras is in full swing for the next few months. Most of the time you get the bands, the beads, and the fun on Saturday nights only, but a few times this year we’ll get double shots for the weekend. This weekend is the first with the B-52’s and K.C. and The Sunshine Band taking the stage.
The Party Continues Saturday & Sunday, February 19 & 20
WHAT: The biggest, best Mardi Gras party outside of New Orleans continues at Universal Orlando Resort this Saturday and Sunday with concerts by The B-52s and KC & The Sunshine Band.
This Saturday, guests can rock to the pop sounds of The B-52s, whose strong “guy vs. girl” vocals and unique party band style have made them one of the most popular rock bands for more than 25 years, selling more than 20 million albums. Some of their most notable, upbeat hits include, “Rock Lobster,” “Shiny Happy People,” “Roam” and the beloved classic hit, “Love Shack.”
And on Sunday, guests will get down to the funky sounds of Mardi Gras fan favorite KC & The Sunshine Band as they perform live in concert during the celebration. One of the most popular names in music, KC & The Sunshine Band is responsible for some of the most recognizable dance songs in music history, including big hits such as, “Boogie Shoes,” “Get Down Tonight,” “Shake Your Booty” and “That’s the Way (I Like It).”
This year’s Mardi Gras concert line-up features some of the biggest names in Rock, Country, Pop and R&B. Together, the headliners have had more than 100 songs on Billboard’s Hot 100 Chart and more than 20 Grammy nominations.

At Universal Orlando’s Mardi Gras, nationally renowned musical acts combine with an authentic Mardi Gras parade, dozens of colorfully costumed performers, authentic Cajun cooking, and hand-picked New Orleans bands to capture the look, feel and fun of New Orleans – all inside Universal Studios Florida. This year’s ultimate street party runs every Saturday and other select nights through April 23, and is included in regular admission to Universal Studios Florida.
