Talk about a bit of a fixer-upper! The all new behind the scenes special on ABC revealed several new details about the new “Animated Classic” Frozen. The film was intended to be darker, have different songs, and even more characters. Thankfully, things turned out okay for the film, and Disney got a bonified smash on their hands. The special not only revealed secrets about the making of the film, but most importantly, the future of the franchise.
Disney has announced that they will be releasing an all new animated short called “Frozen Fever”. The film will follow the characters after the events of the first film, and will feature the original cast as Olaf, Elsa, Anna, Kristoff and even Sven return.
The film will follow the friends as they celebrate Anna’s birthday, and look for the perfect gift. Of course, things go wrong as Elsa’s icy powers get a little out of control and put things in danger.
There is no set release date yet, but it will happen sometime in 2015. The new film will also feature an all new song written by Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez. Let it Go will probably be somewhere in there as well…because…they can’t, well…you know.
The next Disney animated film will be the first Marvel film animated by the company for the big Screen-Big Hero 6.
Frozen will also have a line of books, and of course a Disney on Ice section coming very soon.
