Sharknado…it don’t make no sense, but there it is. The movie is getting ready to release their third installment in the franchise, and SYFY has released an official date, as well as an official title. The film will feature landmarks all along the East Coast being destroyed by shark filled tornados, including Universal Orlando.
Sharknado 3: OH HE’LL NO! will premiere on SYFY July 22nd at 9p.m. Est. The new film will star Ian Ziering as Fin, Tara Reid as April and Cassie Scerbo as Nova. Joining the cast will be David Hasselhoff as Fin’s father, Gil (oh god); Bo Derek will play April’s mother, May(groan); Ryan Newman will play April and Fin’s daughter…probably some combination of the crazy names.
Additional cameo roles include Mark Cuban as the President of the United States; Ann Coulter as the Vice President(stop that eye rolling); Michele Bachmann as herself; Jerry Springer as Mr. White, a manic tourist; Washington Redskins tackle Tom Compton as a reporter; NSYNC singer Chris Kirkpatrick as a pool lifeguard, and Chris Jericho, who will plays Bruce ride operator of Hollywood Rip Ride Rock it at Universal Studios Florida.
The film will make it’s two hour debut on SYFY channels all over the worlsd, with 86 countries in all. All the other countries will premiere Sharknado 3 within 24 hours of each other.
Groan all you want, Sharknado is what it is…A fun film that is fully aware of what it is. The big reason theme park fans should pay attention is that, allegedly, Universal Orlando will be destroyed by the swirling vortex of sharks.
