The Harry Potter series is one of the most influential, and inspiring book and movie series of our time. Now the first in a planned trilogy of spinoffs is hitting the big screen, and the first trailer and poster for the film have been revealed. Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them opens in 2016, but the magic is already leaping off the screen. The real question, what will Universal do for a theme park follow up to the film?
The new poster and trailer invites you to return to the Wizarding World in an all new adventure. This time, instead of a boy wizard, we are following the adventures of Newt Scamander as he travels to New York City with his case of magical creatures.
The new film is directed by Harry Potter series veteran, David Yates, and will be released in November 2016.
Currently, the Wizarding World of Harry Potter is in three Universal parks worldwide, with a fourth to open in April of 2016 at Universal Studios Hollywood.
With the adventures of Newt Scamander hitting the big screen, talks of the new series are already circling the internet. The new series will more than likely become part of one of the Universal parks, and will probably take over a portion of a New York set. Of course, we have to wait until the film comes out to get an idea of exactly what we can expect to see, and what would make for a great attraction, but if we had to guess…at the very least, we can expect some sort of meet and greet with a creature from the film as the opening gets closer.
