The King is coming back, and he’s taking you to a mysterious mist-covered island. The only question is, are you brave enough? Skull Island: Reign of Kong is hitting Islands of Adventure this June, and it’s going to be a huge homecoming for the eighth wonder of the world. The new attraction is still undergoing some tweaks, but we dropped by this weekend to check out the latest happenings.
Since the last time we’ve visited, the queue and work all around the area has sprung to life in a big way. More details are being added, but at this point it’s just little details. The real work is happening inside, and we hear that it’s going to be amazing!
We made the journey through the jungles of Jurassic Park to take a peek into the mist!
The new attraction will take guests on an expedition into the caves of Skull Island. There you’ll come face to face with many creatures directly from your nightmares. What else awaits? Could it be the legendary King Kong?
The ride will use a mixture of 3D screens, huge set pieces, and animatronics to bring the legendary ape back to Universal Orlando.
