Official registration for runDisney’s Princess Half Marathon is coming up next week. Prior to official registration opening, runDisney is giving Annual Passholders of Walt Disney World and Disneyland plus Disney Vacation Club members the opportunity to register before everyone else.
The Princess Half Marathon weekend will be taking place at Walt Disney World from Thursday, February 22nd – Sunday, February 25th.
The Princess Half Marathon weekend features a 5k, 10k, half marathon, and kids races (dashes and a one mile run). Runners can choose to take on the Disney Fairy Tale Challenge, which includes running both the 10k and the half marathon, totaling in at 19.3 miles over a period of two days. Each runner who successfully completes each race within the allotted time frame will receive a finisher’s medal at the finish line.
Annual Passholder and DVC registration opened yesterday afternoon and will remain open until official registration opens on Tuesday, May 2nd. This year marks the 10 year anniversary for the Princess Half Marathon weekend. With that in mind, it is likely that registration will quickly fill up. Currently, registration for the 10k and the Disney Fairy Tale challenge is sold out for early registration, leaving just the kids races, the 5k, and the half marathon open for now. More registration will open on May 2nd, but may quickly fill.
