It’s officially opened! And it’s officially packed! Disney’s Pandora: World of Avatar has made it’s grand opening debut on Saturday, and as expected, lines were massive for the new world. Before park opening, the estimated wait time for both of the attractions were at 275 minutes, even before getting into the new land.
Guests heading to Animal Kingdom reported that at one point, the entire park was shut down due to capacity, a first in a long time for Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The wait just to get into the area was also reported to be around the two hour mark at one point.
The area closed for regular guests around 7 p.m. and is just open to those with FastPass tickets until the park closes. If you really want to get some extra time in the area, hotel guests get Extra Magic Hours nightly from 11p.m. till 1 a.m. until July 3rd.
Pandora also started rolling out new entertainment in the area as well, with a special Drum Circle Show. The show takes place at random times during the day.
