Nighttime Lights at Hogwarts Castle coming to Universal Studios Hollywood this Summer

The LA Times  has broken the news we were all waiting to hear. An all new nighttime show is coming to Universal Studios Hollywood this summer. And it’s going to bring amazing new lights and projections to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
That’s right, Nighttime Lights at Hogwarts Castle will feature all new images and projections on the massive castle at Universal Studios Hollywood. It will debut on June 23rd, and will feature an amazing arrangement of lights, projections and of course your favorite houses from Hogwarts.

The show will begin with The Sorting Hat, which will draw guests in.  “There’s nothing I can’t see, so try me on and I will tell you where you ought to be.” From there an all new projection show will light up the castle, as each house is represented. The show will be very similar to the one that premiered at the opening of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Hollywood.

The new show will feature music from Legendary Composer John Williams, and will be truly all around you.

Guests will also have several “bone chilling moments.

Universal Japan already premiered their own Harry Potter Castle Show earlier this year…so it looks like Orlando is next, or at least we hope. Orlando will also get a Christmas version of the Castle Show this November. No word yet if that will also come to Hollywood.

The show will happen several times nightly, and will start having technical rehearsals and passholder previews before the June 23rd grand opening.

The new show will premiere on June 23rd this year, and will kick off a magical summer at Universal Studios Hollywood.
