Just ten days after officially announcing an all new nighttime show, Universal Studios Hollywood quietly premiered the all new “Nighttime Lights at Hogwarts Castle”. It’s a huge new Harry Potter themed show, and it’s a must see for all Harry Potter fans. The new show features digital mapping technology, and uses a score crafted by John Williams.
Watch-Hollywood shines with the Magic of Hogwarts
The show has been happening twice nightly since premiering over the weekend, and will make it’s official Grand Opening on June 23rd. The show uses Hogwarts Castle as the canvas for a dazzling story created with digital imaging and projection. Guests will be able to see the castle come to life in new and exciting ways. The new show is just the latest in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Universal Studios Hollywood opened the all new area in 2016, and has seen a massive jump in attendance as a result.
Earlier this year, Universal Studios Japan premiered Expecto Patronum! A show focusing on a Dementor Attack. Later this year, Universal Orlando will get an all new Christmas show for Hogwarts Castle. It’s unknown if these three shows will become interchangable at the other parks, but it does seem likely that you’ll eventually get to see each show at each one of three Wizarding World areas at Universal Parks.
