It was one of the most unexpected and pleasant hits, and in 2019 it will hit…again. The Lego Movie has spawned two spinoffs and will get an all new sequel in 2019, starring the original voices of Elizabeth Banks, and Chris Pratt, as well as newcomer Tiffany Haddish. The characters have been extremely popular in the Legoland theme parks, particularly in Florida where they not only have walk around characters, but a 4D movie, and a Lego Movie Weekend event.
Now things are going to get more awesome.
Lego Movie World is coming to Legoland Florida in 2019, and it’s just in time for the big sequel.
“The sights and sounds will be fully immersive bringing THE LEGO MOVIE franchise to life in a way that only a LEGOLAND Park could,” said Rex Jackson, general manager of LEGOLAND Florida Resort. “We know kids come from all over the world to meet the stars of THE LEGO MOVIE and we can’t wait to see their faces light up as they interact within the imaginative world of Bricksburg.”
Lego Movie World represents the biggest investment in Legoland Florida since the grand opening. While we don’t exactly what attractions will be featured in the new world, or what we can expect to see, we do know that the interactive water ride, Quest for Chi will be closing to make room for the new world. The Quest for Chi closes on May 26th, so get your final rides in now.
The boat ride will be reimagined as a part of the new land, and will open as an all new experience. It’s an absolutely soaking ride that gets you drenched, and it’s welcome during the summer months in Florida.
What do you hope to see in the new Lego Movie World?
