Runners get ready, get set, go register! Registration for the 2019 Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend is now officially open. Taking place from January 9 through January 13, the weekend features an Expo in addition to races ranging from kid-friendly distances to full marathon distance.
Race distances include a 5k, 10, Half Marathon, and Full Marathon. Runners can also take part in two different challenges: Goofy’s Race and a Half Challenge and the Dopey Challenge. Goofy’s Challenge features the Half Marathon and the Full Marathon, totaling in at 39.3 miles. Dopey’s Challenge includes all four race distances, totaling in at 48.6 miles. Marathon Weekend also features three kid friendly distances (100m, 200m, and 1 mile) plus a diaper dash for crawlers.
Those interested in registering should head over to runDisney’s official website by clicking here to sign up. Registration is known to sold out, especially for the Dopey Challenge, so if you are interested in participating, you should consider registering sooner rather than later.
Following the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend is the Princess Half Marathon Weekend, which will take place in February 2019. Princess Half Marathon Weekend will be the next race to open registration slots for in early August.
