WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (July 6, 2009) — Santa Claus and his elf entourage toured the European-themed park Monday morning, gathering ideas and finalizing plans for Christmas Town: A Busch Gardens Celebration debuting this November. Santa and his elves concluded their tour by highlighting details of the holiday event for hundreds of park guests at a special presentation in the theme park’s German village.
For the first time in the park’s 34-year history, visitors will experience all-new attractions, shows and shopping that will fill them with the holiday spirit. From more than a million twinkling lights, the smell of fresh baked Christmas cookies and one-of-a-kind gift ideas to a spectacular 45-foot, light-animated Christmas tree, Christmas Town will have park-goers saying, “Now this is Christmas.”
“The ‘World’s Most Beautiful Theme Park’ will transform into a Christmas wonderland this November,” said John Reilly, executive vice president and general manager for Busch Gardens. “We’re hoping to create a holiday tradition for families to enjoy in a spectacular setting.”

Christmas Town opens at Busch Gardens on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 4 – 9 p.m. beginning Nov. 27. The park will open each evening Dec. 18-27, excluding Christmas Day. Some sections of the park will remain closed for the season. Some rides and attractions are weather dependent.
Christmas Town admission tickets are available for $19.95. Guests with active Busch Gardens passes save 50 percent on Christmas Town tickets as well as free parking and in-park discounts.
