Christmas is often divided amongst those who celebrate it. Many folks like to celebrate “The Reason for the Season”, honoring the birth of Christ. Others like celebrate with more modern, family oriented values. Knott’s does a bit of both at this years wonderful Merry Farm event. While most parks are stricken to their politically correct holiday festivities. Knott’s certainly goes out on all aspects of this season ranging from religious traditions, to classic Charles Dickens stories, with some modern holiday flare thrown in.
The park itself is completely decked out bringing holiday cheer to even the spookiest alleys in Ghost Town with nearly every historic structure lined with lights, garland and ornaments.

Also in ghost town is Santa’s Cabin, which offers an indoor location to meet with Santa, grab some food, or perhaps hot cocoa, and relax for a few minutes completely engulfed in Christmas.
Camp Snoopy and the Board Walk are also getting in the holiday action offering unique holiday shows, merchandise and decor specific to the land.
Let us celebrate with Snoopy and his friends in this tour of the land all decked out.
The Boardwalk is much more subtle with its decor, however it’s still very much so present and the entire new section of the park continues to look stunning year round.
Many of the park’s entertainment offerings that debuted last year have returned more popular than ever. This includes the very well received Christmas on Engine 41 which is now one of the most popular offerings currently at Merry Farm, it’s recommended to get there as soon as the performances start.
Also returning is of course Snoopy’s Merriest Christmas Tree Lighting, which takes place in the heart of Calico Square. The show is for the most part the same as last year with a few small alterations to the pacing and routines. It’s still a very solid offering, and fulfilling 20+ minute stage show giving park guests a great way to end their day at the park.
Overall, Knott’s offers a very unique look at the holiday season with a more rustic and traditional feel. The overall entertainment and decor has never been better and for those looking to celebrate the reason for the season will certainly find plenty of that inside the park.
