It should come as no surprise, Universal Orlando has officially raised their parking prices. The raise comes just a few days after Disney raises their parking prices from $17 dollars to $20 dollars. The price has been officially raised on Universal Orlando’s website.
It should come as no surprise to guests that Universal Orlando has raised parking prices. The Central Florida parks almost always raise ticket prices after one major park does it. It’s a good barometer for just how popular the parks are becoming.
Disney has been making headlines with not only their own raise in parking prices, but also a complete restructuring of their annual passes. Universal Orlando also raised their Annual pass prices earlier this year, and long time passholders were also notified that their monthly payments would go up.
Raises in theme park ticket prices are as inevitable as death and taxes. Disney is also toying with the idea of having higher ticket prices for guests who buy single day tickets on days that are traditionally busier than others. For example, Christmas day could cost about $30 dollars more than a day in the beginning of May, when the park is less busy.
If one park does it, will Universal also go with that pricing structure? It’s a pretty safe bet that they will.
Universal Orlando is also right in the middle of a huge expansion, that has been taking place over the course of the past few years. Ticket increases are to be expected.
