We’re just under 2 months from the official grand opening of Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout, the controversial permanant overlay of the classic Twilight Zone Tower of Terror attraction, but fans visiting the Disneyland Resort this weekend are being given a first look at the Tower’s new look.
While the base of the extior remains under wraps, we now have a glimpse of the top of the tower, a sight-line that can be seen throughout the Disneyland Resort (and parts of Anaheim). While remaining very close to the original concept, the good news is that the tower does appear to sport a lot more detail than the model that was shown earlier this year. Twice as many pipes and satellite dishes surely make for a more visually interesting facade.
Tivan’s (the Collector’s) logo was recently placed at the top, as was the final detail added before scaffolding started to come down. The tower also appears to be much more colorful in the bright sunlight than originally shown, much richer blues and oranges. The opposite side reveals an interesting metal structure atop the tower.
A final look at the Collector’s fortress with his special sign waving in front.
