Portobello’s Italian at Disney Springs closed earlier this year for a massive revamp. That multi-million dollar revamp will also get a new name, as Terralina Crafted Italian opens this fall at Disney Springs, on the waterfront. The new restaurant will bring guests a taste of Italy, inspired by the Lake District. It will also bring familiar faces back, as Chef Tony Mantuano will be overseeing the menu, and Chef Justin Plank will be back in the kitchen. While there will be a new menu, there will also be some returning favorites from Portobello Country Italian Trattoria such as the antipasti platter and signature pasta dishes will remain on the menu alongside new additions like mussels and pork chops.
“The new food landscape at Disney Springs is amazing and the guest choices are so diverse that it has become a true dining destination,” said Andy Lansing, President and CEO of Levy Restaurants. “We are excited to open Terralina Crafted Italian and share our vision to deliver authentic food, hospitality and every last detail as part of a memorable guest experience.”
“It’s been an honor to lead the concept and vision for Terralina Crafted Italian,” said Tony Mantuano, James Beard Award-winning chef. “We wanted to create a dining experience that would transport guests to the shores of Italy. Focusing on the hearth of the kitchen, dishes will embody the passion and flare of the flames. Executive Chef Justin Plank and I cannot wait for guests to come in and have a taste of Italy.”
The menu and name won’t be the biggest changes, as the restaurant will get a complete overhaul, right down to the decor. Each dining room will have eclectic pieces and art that help to set the tone of celebratioin. There’s also a huge new Veranda Bar, right at the restaurant entrance that will help guests relax as they sip on cocktails before dinner.
