Greetings all my oozing little haunt fans, haunted attraction operators, and freaks of all sizes! Our favorite time of year is nearly upon us: Haunt Season! It’s roughly two months away, and this year promises to be bloody, gory, and scary. Of course many theme parks are doing well known haunts again this year. However, there are all kinds of haunts out there that need to be recognized!

Here’s where we comes in! We are looking for the haunts out there, in every state, in every neighborhood, in every ooze filled orifice. If you run a haunt, or if you know of a great one, we would like to hear from you. We are offering free job postings for any all haunts and free haunt advertising! Why are we offering free haunt advertising and job postings? We personally love the haunt industry and not only want to support it, but we want to see it grow. Let’s spread the fear.

Haunt Advertising

We’ve made some small, but simple changes to our advertising for 2013, but there’s no need to worry. We will continue to offer free advertising for haunters, but we are expanding our realm of advertising to include more than just haunt owners. Here’s the details:

Free Advertising:

Yes, you read that right. We’re offering free advertising this fall to those in the haunt industry. No jumping through hoops, no selling your first born. When we say free, we really mean it.

Who qualifies for free advertising?
If you own or operate a haunted attraction (theme park or non-theme park based), or own a haunt or horror related website (all websites will be approved on a case by case basis).

When will my advertisement be displayed?
We will open sign-ups beginning now, but ads will not be displayed until September 1st. We will continue to accept new advertisers through November 1st. All advertising will end on November 2nd regardless of how much time actually remains on the advertisement.

Where will my advertisement be displayed?
Your ad will be displayed on every single article our readers view at the very top. Your advertisement will rotate with others who are also participating in our free advertising. Check the screen shot below to see the actual placement:

How do I sign up?
To sign up, visit our Advertise With Us page. Scroll down to the bottom of the page to our shop and click “Buy Now” next to the ad (don’t worry about that price). Enter all the required information, but before you click “Next: Payment”, enter the promo code “halloween2013” without quotes. This will skip the payment page completely, thus making your ad free.

Haunters Package:

What is the Haunters Package?
The Haunters Package offers a little bit more for haunt owners who are looking for more exposure to their haunt.

The Haunters Package offers:

• 30 days of advertising on every single page our visitors view
• One (1) spotlight article, which showcases all the gory information about your haunt, including: haunted attraction, dates and times, where to purchase tickets, and more
• One (1) social media post per week to your spotlight article (a total of four posts)

Who qualifies for the Haunters Package?
If you own or operate a haunted attraction (theme park or non-theme park based), or own a haunt or horror related website (all websites will be approved on a case by case basis), or sell a haunt-related product.

Those who are interested in participating in the Haunters Package are also eligible to participate in the Free Haunt Advertising as well.

When will my advertisement be displayed?
We will begin selling the Haunters Package beginning on August 25th. We will continue to accept new advertisements through October 1st. Advertisements will run for their full 30 days regardless of what day they are purchased on.

Where will my advertisement be displayed?
Your ad will be displayed on every single page our readers view within our sidebar at the very top, giving your advertisement maximum exposure. Your advertisement will rotate with others who are also participating in the Haunters Package. Check the screen shot below to see similar placement:

How do I sign up?
To purchase a Haunters Package, visit our Advertise With Us page. Scroll down to the bottom of the page to our shop and click “Buy Now” next to the Haunters Package. Enter all the required information and click “Next: Payment”. Enter your payment information and submit your advertisement.

Once you submit your ad to us, we will review your ad and the link associated with it. Once we approve it, we will write our Spotlight Article and email you the link. Once per week, we will post a link to your spotlight via Twitter and Facebook.

Job Postings

Last year we launched a brand new feature: Job Postings. Our job listing was highly successful, so we have revamped it to make it even more successful for 2013. We will be offering a free haunt job postings section on our website. If you are currently hiring for your haunt (or will be soon), you can send us all your hiring information and we’ll post information about it to help you hire for your haunt.

The rules:

• Your haunt must be hiring at the present time (or hiring soon)
• You must provide us with an end date for your hiring process
• You must provide us with a link, email address, or phone number where applicants can apply or provide us with a date, time, and location for open casting calls
• You must provide us with a link to your website or Facebook
• You must provide us with requirements for your applicants (IE: How old do applicants have to be? Do they have to be available for a certain number of nights?)
