The year is kicking off in the right way, as Universal Orlando has just released the dates, and concert line up for their annual Mardi Gras festival! Thss year the fun kicks off in February, and runs all the way through April. The concerts, as always, are free with Universal admission. The concerts are oy one part of the huge festival as Universal brings out major acts direct from New Orleans, authentic Cajun food and of course the biggest Mardi Gras parade this side of the Mississippi, which means all the beads you can grab!
As always, this year’s line up is a solid but eclectic mix of classic music and today’s biggest hits.
Here’s the line up:

The line up is pretty solid, with legendary Diana Ross and classic rockers REO Speedwagon.
While the concerts are a huge reason to come to the event, the parade is an even better reason to get there early as the park puts on the largest Mardi Gras parade outside of New Orleans. The parade features huge floats, performers and handfuls of beads!
This year, the parade will feature 12 floats including four brand new floats with the theme that celebrates different cultures and festivals from around the world. This year the new floats are- Venetian Carnival, Oktoberfest, 4th of July and Rio de Janeiro Carnival.
The floats are all built by Blaine Kern, who designs floats for not only Mardi Gras in New Orleans, but also parades around the world!
The fun kicks off on February 6th with Hunter Hayes and rocks all the way through April 16th.
