Talk about keeping the party going! Disney will air a huge new TV special on February 21st celebrating the land that started it all, Disneyland! The park celebrated it’s 60th year in 2015 with a huge new fireworks show, nighttime parade and World of Color Show, but the company is pulling out all the stops for an all new Television special which will celebrate “The Wonderful World of Disney”.
The all new special will air on all ABC stations on Sunday, February 21st and with it will bring Elton John to perform Circle of Life, and his new song “Wonderful Crazy Night” from his new album. Derek Hough will host, which will start at the heart of Hollywood at the Dolby Theater and at some of the most iconic locations throughout the Disneyland Resort, including Sleeping Beauty Castle, Main Street, U.S.A., and Cars Land. Other guests will include Josh Gad, and Witney Carson.
BUT…that’s not the most exciting news. The night will be capped off as Harrison Ford, Han Solo HIMSELF, gives the audience huge details about the all new Star Wars Land, coming to both Disneyland and Walt Disney World. We’re not sure what new details will be revealed, but we already know-from the D23 Expo in 2015, that the new land will be the last outpost before you get to deep space. There will be familiar characters, new shopping experiences, and tons more…including a ride that allows guests to ride along on the Millennium Falcon.

Disney has already been hard at bringing new Star Wars experiences to guests in their parks with things like Launch Bay, and Season of the Force. The new offerings have been a huge hit for both Disneyland and Walt Disney World in Florida.
