Ciao bella! Disney’s California Adventure will host Luigi’s cousins from Italy in a festive celebration of Race Day at Radiator Springs, and the best part? You’re invited to dance! Luigi’s Rollicking Roadsters will open on March 7th, and it’s going to be a party you don’t want to miss!
The new ride replaces Luigi’s Flying Tires, which opened with Cars Land. The ride never really operates the way it should, and was closed. The old system used air to float riders along the track, but the new system is complete different.
The new system will be the trackless system that Disney has used in many of their rides in Japan and in Paris. The cars each have different faces, and personalities, and will dance with each other to several different songs created just for the ride. The cars are programmed that no matter how many times you ride, you’re not going to have the same experience twice. In fact there are 18 different paths, five different songs and 20 cousins all from Carsoli.
The ride will also feature two cars designed for guests with special needs, so that the entire family can enjoy it.
The ride officially opens March 7th in Carsland!
