The Walking Dead is getting ever closer to becoming a reality at Universal Studios Hollywood, as the year round attraction readies to open on July 4th. The new attraction will be a year round haunted attraction, and will feature live actors, as well as animatronics, special effects and a ton more.
The Associated Press has a cool first look at the new attraction, including a closer look at some of the effects in an all new behind the scenes video:
The new attraction is recommended for guests ages 13 and up, and will feature key scenes from the show. The attraction was built so that about a third of it could be changed, as seasons for the wildly popular show progress. The show is one of the top rated shows in cable TV history, and is gearing up for yet another season. The show has been featured at both Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Orlando for the past four years during the parks Halloween Horror Nights.
We recently had the chance to get behind the scenes with showrunner Greg Nicotero, and Universal Hollywood Creative Director John Murdy for a look at how actors become Walkers in an exclusive “Boot Camp”.
