The first anniversary of any relationship is always paper. when Great Wolf Lodge announced their big 1 year anniversary plan, they said they were going to do big things with paper, they weren’t lying! This past weekend, Great Wolf Lodge revealed to the public the world’s largest origami cake and displayed it for hotel guests.
On Friday, Media, Local Officials, and Hotel Guests gathered around a large black curtain for the unveiling of the giant cake creation by paper artist Linda Mihara.
The cake is detailed with animal characters familiar to the Great Wolf company, with a howling wolf sitting atop the giant cake.
Afterwards hotel guests were handed free cupcakes (which were delicious). What a fun way to celebrate a first year anniversary! But that’s not all GWL was celebrating for the day. On Friday the hotel also started their ‘Spring-a-Palooza’ festivites which include lots of unique decor, a picnic and lemonade stand with Violet and seasonal food offerings and the dining locations on property.
