One of the best parts of the original Lion King was the chemistry of Timon and Pumba. The two served as comic relief and were masterfully done by Nathan Lane and Ernie Sabella.
Now as the new Lion King takes shape, word comes that Disney is looking at Seth Rogen and Billy Eichner to fill the voice roles.
Seth Rogen is no stranger to voice acting, playing versions of himself on Sausage Party and Kung-Fu Panda. Eichner seems to have a bit more range and does frequent appearances on Bob’s Burgers.
The film already has James Earl Jones, and Donald Glover filling in the Mustafa and Simba roles.
The film is scheduled to hit theaters on July 19th, 2019.
