The Wizarding World may seem impossible to get to, but this Christmas it’s getting as close your local shopping mall. Christmas in the Wizarding World promises to be an interactive shopping experience straight from the movies.
Warner Brothers Consumer Products and GES, the company behind “Harry Potter: The Exhibition” are teaming up to bring the project to life.
“This holiday season, we are excited to introduce new Christmas themed experiences that further extend J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World into the lifestyle of our fans and consumers,” said Peter van Roden, Senior Vice President, Global Themed Entertainment, Warner Bros. Consumer Products.
“GES is delighted to be a part of creating a new way for fans to experience the world of Harry Potter, this time in a holiday setting,” said Eddie Newquist, chief creative officer of GES. “This one-of-a-kind experience is sure to be a hit with families and friends who are looking for a magical experience this holiday season.”
Animated windows will bring scenes from Harry Potter to life, while guests will be able to take picture on a digital background display. Guests will also be able to choose a wand in the wand shop, where the wand keeper will help guests with a “holiday surprise”.
Currently guests can experience the magic of “the wand choosing the wizard” at Universal Orlando, Japan and Hollywood. There’s no word how close to the Universal experience the Christmas in the Wizarding World will be, but if it’s anything let me Universal you can expect a huge demand.

There will be other interactive elements as well, though full details have yet to be revealed. The locations and dates will be announced “soon” as well.
