The wait will finally be over this Thursday, as Terralina Crafted Italian will finally open it’s doors at Disney Springs. The all new family Italian restaurant takes over the former Portobello at Disney Springs, right next to Paddlefish. The new restaurant promises a new look, an amazing authentically Italian menu, and tons of great food.
The restaurant is brought to life by James Beard Award-winning Chef Tony Mantuano, and is a completely new concept. Terralina gets it’s inspiration from the design and lifestyle of Northern Italy’s famous lakes like Lake Como, set far away from city life and surrounded by picturesque villages. It’s nestled in Disney Springs, at the center of “Riverboat Square”, right across the way from Paddlefish.
The views at Terralina, as a new Veranda was crafted that overlooks the square, as well as the lake front of Lake Buena Vista. The veranda will also be home to a new bar, where guests can order handcrafted apertivos like the classic Negroni, share a refreshing pitcher of Crafted Lemonade made with lavender rosemary vodka, homemade orange blossom lemonade and celery bitters or select a bottle or glass of Italian Wine.
Inside the restaurant, guests will be treated to the smells and sounds of an authentic Italian kitchen, as fresh herbs are chopped and prepared, and food is made right in the middle with the centrally located kitchen.
“Italian culture values slowing down to enjoy the simple things in life that really matter, like sharing a great meal with family and friends. I find that’s even more pronounced in these tiny lakeside towns where you can sit right alongside the water and lose track of time.” said Mantuano.

“Italy’s Lake District is one of my favorite places to vacation, specifically the Lake Como region,” said Mantuano. “In Lake Como, you can take a boat from town to town and experience all the region has to offer. At Terralina Crafted Italian, the spirit of Lake Como is found throughout the restaurant from handmade pastas and fresh seafood to a wide variety of Italian and grape sparkling wines.”

As a former contestant on Top Chef Masters, Mantuano is internationally respected for his role in defining true Italian cuisine. In collaboration with Executive Chef Justin Plank, Mantuano and Plank have carefully developed a menu that will showcase authentic Italian flavors that are both familiar and new, from signature dishes like Housemade Lasagnaand Chicken Parmesan to specialty creations like Housemade Porchettaand Capellini with Crab.
Terralina Crafted Italian will be open for both lunch and dinner, and is just one of several new additions to Disney Springs in the past few months and years.
