When Disney finally launches their new streaming service, sometime in 2019, it will launch with new episodes of the amazing Star Wars: Clone Wars animated series.
The series began in 2008, and ran for just five seasons. It gave fans a closer look at Padme Amidala, Anakin Skywalker, Obi Wan Kenobi, and introduced them to new characters like Captain Rex and Jedi Padawan Ahsoka Tano. It won Emmy’s and was one of the biggest draws for Cartoon Network in those five seasons.
But the war was left unfinished.
The new season will be 12 episodes long, and will finish the Clone Wars Story. Of course, the show also gave us the return of Darth Maul and some new villains and bad guys to root for. It also paved the way for Star Wars Rebels, which just finished up.
