The first ever ride to feature Mickey and Minnie Mouse will debut at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in 2019. Over the weekend, guests to Destination D at Walt Disney World got a few more details about the new attraction, and even a target launch date.
First, the new ride will feature an all new score that pays tribute to Mickey’s past in several ways, mainly because it uses special effects that were “hand made”, just like when the original Mickey Mouse shorts were made. The score was recorded using a 65 piece orchestra, and special pieces like the original whistle used in Steamboat Willie.
The new ride will use special techniques to take guests from the 2D world, and put them inside the ride like never before. You’ll see characters like Goofy and of course a Mickey and Minnie.
The new ride will open at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in the Fall of 2019.
