SeaWorld Orlando is on a roll right now. The park has opened up the amazing new Sesame Street land, and is right in the middle of another successful year of the Seven Seas Food Festival. The park still has a full month of fun left before they get into summer, and let’s not forget the rest of the year. But right across the street, Aquatica is gearing up for something massive of their own.
KareKare Curl will debut at Aquatica on April 12th. The new waterslide will send riders careening down a snaking tube, before shooting up a near vertical, zero-g wall. The ride is intense, and very much like Walhalla Wave at Aquatica San Antonio.
“KareKare” means “waves” in the Maori language and when combined with “Curl” meaning in a curved shape, this new ride could be described as a “curve shaped wave” which riders will experience when climbing the vertical wave wall. True to its name and holding two passengers, this new slide delivers a high-adrenaline, weightless adventure. With the addition of KareKare Curl Aquatica Orlando will become the thrill leader among Florida waterparks, with more high thrill rides than any other. The slide will be the second added in two years, right behind last year’s Ray Rush. The slide is nestled right beside the park’s two wave pools, and makes for a huge new structure on the Auqatica Skyline.
