D23: Frozen roller coaster, and new Castle of Magical Dreams slated for Hong Kong Disneyland

Hong Kong Disneyland is undergoing a huge change, especially of it’s amazing castle. The centerpiece of the park is expanding and will feature an all new design. At the D23 Panel on Sunday, it was revealed that the new castle will become the “Castle of Magical Dreams”.

For the first time in Disney history, the iconic character will not be inspired by a princess. It will be inspired by 13 of them. Each piece of the castle will have a different story of a Disney heroine, and has had artwork from their story incorporated into it. The Castle of Magical Dreams will also be home to a daytime show, and a massive nighttime spectacular, which will use the castle as a canvas to tell even more of the stories.

We already know about a new Frozen land based on the kingdom of Arendelle coming to the park. The land will be home to two major attractions, starting first with Frozen Ever After, which is directly from Epcot’s Norway section of the park.

But the big news is the new Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs that will take guests on a winding journey through Arendelle. Each experience on Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs begins when you visit Oaken’s infamous store. Then, Olaf and Sven help pull your sled to the top of the lift before sending you on your way.

There’s likely more on the way to Arendelle at Hong Kong Disney, so stay tuned!
