It’s that time of year again. Six Flags has unveiled their full 2020 line up for just about every single park in the chain, including a few of the new parks that were acquired over the past year.
Let’s jump right in.
Six Flags Over Georgia
The Thrill Capital of the South—introduces two devious villain
attractions in the all-new Gotham City. Thrill-seekers will spin wildly on Catwoman
Whip while suspended from her twirling wheel of chaos. Riders are raised by a giant
arm, feet dangling, and are launched into a high-speed spin…round and round…seven
stories toward the sky. Also new for 2020, Poison Ivy Toxic Twister will send riders
through a classic scramble that puts a new twist on spinning.
Six Flags Great America
The Thrill Capital of the Midwest, continues its record-breaking
streak in 2020 with the world-record water coaster, Tsunami Surge. Towering an
incredible 86 feet in height, this innovative water coaster will be the tallest-of-its-kind in
the world. Riders will reach a top speed of 28 mph over 950 feet of enclosed tunnels and
open-air slides with three gravity-defying blasts and five breathtaking drops. Tsunami
Surge will also feature AquaLucent technology, giving riders the sensation of traveling at
the speed of light as brilliant colors and dreamlike imagery heighten the ride experience.
Six Flags Over Texas
the Thrill Capital of the Midwest, continues its record-breaking
streak in 2020 with the world-record water coaster, Tsunami Surge. Towering an
incredible 86 feet in height, this innovative water coaster will be the tallest-of-its-kind in
the world. Riders will reach a top speed of 28 mph over 950 feet of enclosed tunnels and
open-air slides with three gravity-defying blasts and five breathtaking drops. Tsunami

The Great Escape
New York’s Most Thrilling Resort Property, announces the Adirondack Outlaw. This high-flying ride will have guests catching maximum airtime and experiencing 360-degree rotations of heart-pounding excitement. The head-over-heels exhilaration of Adirondack Outlaw will elevate riders to unmatched heights as they travel more than 50 mph. This rebellious ride swings 16 stories high, offering spectacular views of Lake George.
Six Flags Mexico
The undisputed Thrill Capital of Latin America, announced its most exciting ride to date—CraZanity—the world’s tallest pendulum ride. With a record height more than 50 meters, this enormous, giant disk will reach speeds over 120 kilometers per hour as it whips back and forth, and higher and higher, to give riders an amazing view of the world all around them.
La Ronde
During this new experience, passengers board vehicles with wings that hang outside the confines of the rail. After climbing into a 33-meter-high lift, the arena is driven into a succession of tumbles with unexpected dives, free drops in the vertical, and 360-degree turns and inversions. The seats turn and the passengers suddenly find themselves upside down.
Six Flags New England
Drawing on her powers of stamina and strength, thrill seekers spin and tilt, all while suspended from the whirling wheel of justice. Riders are raised up by a giant arm, feet dangling, and then launched into a high-speed spin…round and round…higher and higher…head over heels!
Six Flags Great Adventure
The World’s Ultimate Thrill Park, will shatter three world
records when it debuts a coaster of legendary proportions—the tallest, fastest and
longest single rail coaster. Jersey Devil Coaster will tower 13 stories and reach speeds
up to 58 mph as riders soar through the dark and foreboding woods along 3,000 feet of
imposing track. Inspired by infamous New Jersey folklore, the fiendish coaster will
feature five intense elements including two dramatic inversions.
Six Flags Fiesta Texas
Debuting next summer at Six Flags Fiesta Texas, Daredevil Dive Flying Machines, the World’s Tallest Ride of Its Kind. Guests will experience the thrills and sensations of weightlessness through aerial banks, loops and dives, all while seated in a retro four-seater steampunk flying machine. Sharply turning right side up and upside down, riders will break from formation and maneuver into aerobatic dogfights during the barnstorming journey, as they soar nearly five stories above Crackaxle Canyon.
Six Flags Discovery Kingdom
Guests will experience a one-of-a-kind, combination thrilling family coaster and animal exhibit as they become immersed in a jungle-like setting where there are encounters with live snakes and other reptile species before boarding spinning coaster vehicles for an exhilarating experience through 1,378 feet of slithering track.
Six Flags St. Louis
Catwoman Whip is the first ride at the park to combine this type of height, speed and dual motion, at this level to deliver an adrenaline-charged rush.
Six Flags America
HARLEY QUINN Spinsanity promises to deliver epic high-flying excitement to Six Flags America as it spins and swings to breathtaking heights. With a top speed of 70 miles per hour and a maximum swing height of 15 stories at a 120-degree angle, HARLEY QUINN Spinsanity will be the tallest, fastest and most extreme pendulum ride in all of DC, Maryland and Virginia.
Six Flags Darien Lake
At 60 feet tall, the Wahoo Wave is one of the park’s tallest water rides. Riders first go through a hairpin turn, then get swept up into a corkscrew turn. Before they see it coming, the riders are hit with a three-story drop – which is destined to be the riders’ favorite part.
White Water Bay

Hurricane Harbor Arlington
Three pulse-pounding new slides will open at Hurricane Harbor in 2020!
Hurricane Harbor Phoenix
Paradise Island will feature a 12,000 square foot activity pool with over a quarter of a million gallons of water and multiple interactive elements and areas. The entire expansion covers nearly 42,000 square feet and includes extensive lounge seating, comfortable shade, and new restrooms.
White Water
Slither along a 500-foot course and careen around giant saucer-shaped turns before plunging into the splash down below.
Magic Waters/Hurricane Harbor Rockford
Introducing the Midwest’s first and only tailspin waterslide, Tidal Wave! As Hurricane Harbor Rockford’s 12th waterslide, Tidal Wave will send riders gliding through three high-speed turns, giving the experience of limitless wave riding. Reaching speeds of up to 15 miles per hour, riders will be awestruck by the radiant Aqualucent special effects during their 43 foot descent.
So let’s analyze a bit. The company is getting two new unique coasters, and the rest are either older coasters being transplanted from other parks or flat thrill rides. The waterparks are getting new slides but they all seem to be off the shelf attractions, with the exception of the new water coaster.
And we won’t even talk about Magic Mountain, who is still working on their 2019 attraction.
