Thousands of visitors gathered alongside the shore at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Germany to witness the Disney Fantasy “float out”. For the very first time, the Fantasy left the construction warehouse for its maiden voyage.
The Disney Fantasy will take its maiden voyage from Port Canaveral in March, less than 90 days from now. The Fantasy can comfortably accomodate 4,000 passengers at a time, plus a crew of more than 1,450 employees.
The entire process of floating out from the construction warehouse took about two hours from start to finish. Disney Parks Blog provided their readers with a timelapse video of the event.
