We bumped this week’s show up to Wednesday night and chatted with Scott Swenson from Busch Gardens Tampa and Leonard Pickle from Hauntcon about their upcoming event in Orlando next weekend. This yearly convention is going to be packed full this weekend with stuff to do and see. Not only will there be demonstrations that haunts can participate in and learn the techniques, but they will be offering a tour of two houses at Busch Gardens Tampa. There will be a lot going on at Busch Gardens Tampa for Howl-o-Scream, too. This is an open event for anyone to attend, from the general public, to the haunt-gurus themselves.
For more information on the event, or where to get tickets for the HOS tour, visit their official website, www.hauntcon.com. They’ll also be hosting a tour at Universal as well, which will go into the creation aspect of Halloween Horror Nights (as they remove their houses after HHN is over).
This tour will give a last look at Reconstruction and Night Shade Toy Factory in their glory from 2009 before they are changed for the upcoming Howl-o-Scream 2010. A new Icon, Reconstruction will be getting a face lift, according to Swenson, while something “special” will be going on in Night Shade’s current location, however he could not disclose any further information. Howl-o-Scream will be bringing something new to the park (something innovative) that has never been done at Busch Gardens before, along with tons more. For full details, check out this week’s show!
