Busch Gardens and Seaworld are great with social networking and connecting with their fans through Twitter and Facebook. Through the use of these social networks, they answer questions about the parks and get people excited about new attractions, discounts, and more. Busch Gardens hosted a contest on Facebook this past week, giving the first 20 fans to respond to an e-mail a visit to Busch Gardens to check out Walkabout Way, Summer Nights, Garden Gate Cafe, and Kinetix.
First up was Walkabout Way, located near Bird Gardens. This new Australian attraction gets guests really close to Kangaroos and Wallabies. So close you can feel how fuzzy they are! For $5, guests can purchase a cup of food to and feed the Kangaroos. This animal attraction was a great addition to Busch Gardens. It felt like a very personal experience, like no one else was around, although it was fairly busy.

Tweet-ups at Busch Gardens and Seaworld have always been fun, even if it’s just a bunch of us Tweeps meeting up in the park to ride a few things together. It’s fun to get together and share the one thing you know you have in common – a love for the parks. Upon our arrival, we were met with stilt walkers, showing off all kinds of cool “stunts”.
We were also provided with dinner at the Garden Gate Cafe, which features an all you can eat pizza, pasta, and salad buffet. The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor dining. The cost of dining is $9.99 for adults and $6.99 for guests ages 12 and younger. The Garden Gate Cafe is included with the Play All Day and Eat Free deal, which is free with the purchase of a single day ticket online until September 30th.

Construction for Busch Gardens Tampa’s 2011 project continues secretly behind walls. The bridge near the Stanleyville Train Station is complete and looks very nice. However, around it you find footers.. For what? Rumors are of a new roller coaster, but we won’t be sure until Busch Gardens makes an official announcement. Pathways are different than our last visit to Busch Gardens and huge signs point guests in the direction of certain attractions. On construction walls, there are six different bar code, which smart phones can read and direct guests to a website with teaser after teaser for the new construction project. Pictured below takes guests to a video. See if you can find the other five!

Sylvie from the band, MyX will be coming to Busch Gardens for Howl-o-Scream this year and with that said.. Construction is ramping up. Construction is going on where Reconstruction was last year near Jambo Junction, but that looks to be about it.

One of the cool things about Summer Nights is the party train! The Serengeti Express has lights on the train and lights in the tunnels along with music for quite a laid back environment. Sheikra and Kumba were absolutely beautiful looking against the very orange sunset.

Coming up this week is Racheal’s 21st birthday. In honor of her 21st, she’s wearing an “Over the Hill” hat. Check out some other random pictures of our trip to Busch Gardens Tampa.
