Tonight, Star Wars fans at Walt Disney World and Disneyland will have the chance to get a sneak peek, and be the first to purchase new toys and merchandise from the highly anticipated film, Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Even more, the event was originally supposed to be a ticketed event, now it’s completely free to the public!
Disney had previously made the Force Friday event a ticketed event, but after many angry emails and phone calls…and some Jedi Mind Tricks, Disney has decided to make the event open to the public. Force Friday is a big deal all around there world, where many YouTube stars had unboxed all the new toys that will be hitting shelves on Friday September 4th.
Disney fans will want to be the first to get their hands on some specialty Star Wars merchandise, exclusive to Disney Parks and Disney retailers.
At midnight, at Downtown Disney in Walt Disney World and Disneyland, guests will be able to be the first to purchase apparel, pins, toys, retail MagicBands (Walt Disney World Resort only), Vinylmation figures, and more. Unlike previous merchandise events, purchase limits will apply, so there will be a greater chance of you getting your exclusive merchandise…and less of a chance of having to buy it for 10x times the regular cost on Ebay.
Walt Disney World will have the event at midnight at Once Upon A Toy in Downtown Disney Marketplace, and Disneyland guests will get the event at World of Disney Store in Downtown Disney District.
