Hotels appear as coasters disappear at Universal Orlando as construction continues

Universal Orlando continues building towards 2016 and beyond as construction progresses throughout the resort. The most high profile construction project in the park, The Incredible Hulk continues to disappear, as an all new hotel and even waterpark grows from the ground and dirt. The projects are all a huge part of the ongoing commitment from Universal and Comcast to bring new experiences to their parks on a regular basis.

Volcano Bay isn’t scheduled to open until 2017, but the waterpark continues construction. It is being constructed right behind the latest hotel, Cabana Bay Beach Resort, and can be clearly seen from the rooms.
When completed, the park will feature a massive volcano in the center, with tons of waterslides and a tropical atmosphere.

As guests ride the water taxis from CityWalk to the Royal Pacific, work can be seen taking place on the new Sapphire Falls Resort. The resort is scheduled to open in July of 2016, and will feature a lush Caribbean mountain vibe.

Construction on the resort is reaching a point where the hotel will really start to come together quickly. All of the main buildings appear to be up, and are starting to show signs of actually being a hotel. The resort will feature several family suites, as well as several unique restaurants. It is the fifth Universal on site hotel, and is being managed by Loews Hotels.

In the park, the Incredible Hulk continues to disappear! The entire back half of the ride is gone, with only supports remaining. There is debate on whether it will remain a B&M coaster or not,(Theme Park Insider says Universal confirmes, Screamscape hears different) but the fact remains that it will be an all new experience once it is completed in the summer of 2016. All new coaster trains, all new track, a new launch system means that coaster fans could count this as an all new coaster credit.
