It’s becoming a rite of passage for all haunt freaks annually, but Midsummer Scream kicked off Saturday with a panel from Knott’s Scary Farm.
While we still have to wait for the full reveal for this year’s terror, we did get a few tidbits.
First is the schedule. Knott’s Scary Farm will invade the park on select nights from September 20th through October 30th.
Next up is a special touch to the entire area, with special lighting to make Hang Time even scarier.
A new dance party zone, Awaken the Dead will bring a mix of terror and fun as go-go dancers and stilt walkers as well as a cast of undead characters will roam the area.
A new scare zone, Forsaken Lake will use interactive elements to bring those lost souls back to Silver Bullet lake. The park is bringing the Scare zone to Silver Bullet lake, because it hasn’t had one there in many years. This is also the first time that there will be a scare zone that’s separately themed from the area, since Silver Bullet Mining Town. The area will have set pieces, and interactive moments throughout the night. It will be themed to a New Orleans funeral procession, and will have different interactions throughout the night.
Ghost Town Streets, Carnevil and The Hollow scare zones will return to terrorize guests every night of Knott’s Scary Farm. The monsters that live within these streets will cover every inch of the park midways, leaving nowhere to hide.
The big focus of 2018 will be Atmos-Fear…which simply means more scares everywhere, from hidden scareactors to new shows, and just more of everything.
The shows will take a big step forward this year, but no details were revealed. The huge reveal will come on August 30th when all will be revealed. All 14 haunted houses
