Today Universal Studios Hollywood released this image of the Staples Center in Downtown Los Angeles after Megatron had just smashed through it. It is in fact a life sized, 80 foot tall poster created by ILM (Industrial Light & Magic), then placed over the side of the world famous arena. In addition to the giant Megatron print, piles of rubble and smoke effects were added to help sell the effect that the Decepticons have been ravaging Downtown Los Angeles. Crowds of Lakers/Clippers/Kings games will be able to enjoy the display, but it’s uncertain how long it will remain up. Transformers The Ride opens May 25, 2012.
