OT:Spaghetti Tacos

I am a dad. I love my kids. We do everything together, including watch TV and cook. So when iCarly came up with the idea of Spaghetti Tacos, my little one was all over it. For months when asked “What do you want for dinner?” SPAGHETTI TACOS. The idea was repulsive. Spaghetti and tacos? Two completely different food items, with different textures ingridients and tastes. But because I love my daughter, and I hate doing the same thing over and over, I decided to try it.

I wanted to make this taste as evenly as possible so I went over what would make it good. You cant have too much pasta, or it will just be a mess. You have to have a good taco taste, and you need incorporate some key elements into the process.

Ingriedients:

1lb ground beef (or you choice of meat)

2 packages of taco seasoning

1/4 box of angel hair pasta

3 cups Mexican blend cheese(I used colby-Jack)

1/2 cup grated Romano or parmesean cheese

Taco shells

Cook your meat like you normally would, and drain the grease. While your meat is cooking get your pasta ready by boiling a pot of water, and breaking the pasta into small pieces. I took a group and broke it 4 times. preheat your oven to 400 degrees. On a cookie sheet line your taco shells and fill the bottom with cheese. Once your meat is cooked and your pasta is drained, combine the two and add the taco seasoning one packet at a time, blending in all the seasoning. Then add about half a cup of water to the mix (I filled up the packet with water and used that, it was just enough). This will keep the mix from sticking to the pasta. Fill each taco with the mixture, and top that with the remaining cheese. Bake in the oven for about 5-10 minutes, or until you think the shells are crispy enough. Top with your favorite taco toppings (I used lettuce tomatoe and sour cream) and Voila!:

Spaghetti Tacos!

It’s really good, actually, the pasta just adds a little more to the texture and it doesnt get in the way at all.

Next time, Italian Spaghetti Tacos.
